Day 3 - Hiking from Parz lake through Gosh village to Gosh lake / Trans Caucasian Trail. Visiting Haghartsin Monastery.
This trail is one of the best hiking routes in Armenia’s Tavush region, located within Dilijan National Park and part of the Transcaucasian Trail. We start at Parz Lake, following the path to Goshavank Monastery, a 12th-century site with historical significance. The hike continues to Gosh Lake, a peaceful spot surrounded by nature.
After completing the hike, our driver will pick us up from Parz Lake, and we’ll head to the magnificent Haghartsin Monastery, a 13th-century spiritual complex located nearby. This historic site is also renowned for its traditional Armenian bakery, where you can savor freshly made gata—a beloved Armenian pastry—alongside fragrant herbal teas.
What could be more rewarding than enjoying a warm cup of herbal tea with delicious traditional sweets while admiring the breathtaking view of an ancient monastery?
