Hiking Trip in the South - Day 4

Day 4 - Hike to the Southern Summit of Aragats

Mount Aragats is an extinct volcano. It consists of four peaks. Its Northern summit (4,090 m) is the highest point of the Lesser Caucasus and Armenia. We will hike the Southern peak (3887.8 m) from Kari Lake (Stone Lake). The beauty of the lake is greatly accentuated by the surrounding alpine meadows, various flowers, mountainous fresh air and by the view of the snowy peaks of Aragats. Depending on the group dynamics, we could also hike to the Northern peak after reaching the Southern peak and having lunch break there (we will decide on this on site).

Hiking distance: 12 km
