Day 5 - Visit to Vahanavank Monastery and Meghri - City at the Iranian Border

On this day, we will travel from Kapan to Meghri, a picturesque town located in the southernmost part of Armenia, near the Iranian border. Along the way, we will make a stop at Vahanavank, an ancient Armenian monastery perched on the slopes of a mountain. This historical site dates back to the 9th century and is known for its stunning architecture, tranquil atmosphere, and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.

Upon reaching Meghri, we will embark on a walking tour through the town. Meghri, with its warm climate and unique blend of cultural influences, offers a fascinating glimpse into life in this border region. As we stroll through the town, we will explore its charming streets, visit local landmarks, and learn about the town’s rich history and cultural heritage.
